Hussain Sajwani is the Chairman, founder, and CEO of Damac group which is a UAE company. The company has been involved in a lot of developments and projects internationally. Hussain first got into the food business in 1980 offering catering services to workers of the energy industry in Abu Dhabi. The company came to the scenes in 1991 during operation Desert Storm. The organization was tasked with the responsibility of food service for the army of the United States. Under the watch of Hussain Sajwani, the assignment went so well that their relations with America grew. Damac group did a lot of work for the Americans including companies such as Bechtel. Damac group still has its operations in the food industry, and it is a symbolic reminder of Hussain Sajwani’s first expertise. In 2002, Hussain and his company shifted their focus to Dubai. He went in entirely to invest in properties as Dubai was at a lift-off stage of a six-year boom in real estate. Dubai was flooded with visitors from the Soviet Union following its collapse. Hussain Sajwani, the DAMAC owner, had already previously developed mid-market hotels. Damac group took the Dubai market in 2002 by storm with their dynamic business marketing modules and glitzy property development. Hussain Sajwani was among the few people prepared for the crash of the economy in July 2008. He acted fast so that he could cut the cost and preserve the cash. The company then enjoyed the floor of money which protected them. However, there were a lot of complaints and legal action against the firm during the crash because it took back the property where the customers could not pay. One outstanding fact about Hussain is his ability to make friends in high places on an international scale. He has a highly valued relationship with Donald Trump and the Trump family. They have been working together for long, and one of their exciting developments is the exciting golf course projects with Donald Trump. The Damac Foundation is an initiative to support His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum in his efforts and vision empower the society through learning and developing skills. The company plans to expand its operations to Riyadh and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.
